Upgrading your controller's stock antennas to Alfa antennas is less invasive, lower cost, and might give you whatever you are after (I'm guessing improved connection reliability between controller and Solo): https://3drpilots.com/threads/basic-guide-to-solo-antennas-stock-alfa-fpvlr.8078/

I will not mess wit WiFi cards, stock one work just fine for the average pilot, instead I will upgrade to the mRo GPS.
If You are not average, there is the Here PGS and the green cube and go from there.
