Optical Flow for Solo?

The link below if for the PX4 OF Kit at 3DR. Anyone have any ideas or online links about how this might be installed on Solo. I get the impression from 3DR that they have no plans in 2015 to release an Optical Flow solution. It was not even an option on today's 3DR survey. The one from DJI works great but nothing soon from 3DR.

You'd be much better off asking about that here: http://diydrones.com/group/arducopterusergroup

Its not something you just slap on like an FPV kit. But those guys in that group will point you in the right direction. Someone might respond in the Solo group. Or maybe the pixhawk group too.

I think they seem to be betting that a third party will develop the optical flow, I hope at least, I wonder if the sensors they used were their own or a third party maybe somebody's already working on finishing them if so.

Great video easy to follow should save quite a few solos from cracks breaks or other issues thanks.

Nice to know they are repairing and rebuilding motor pods wonder how that may affect 3dr warranty or if they offer any warranty on how long it would stay functional after rebuilt. Probably a high cost option but until pods are available may be the only option for some.

Yeah, also Randy, one of the ardupilot devs over there, started a Solo development wiki on ardu. http://dev.ardupilot.com/wiki/solo/

Nothing on optical flow yet (since I last checked), but that's where it will start to come together.
