Hi All,

Got a great deal on a 3dr solo, a drone that i have lusted after for a long time, but could bring myself to part with the (original) asking price.

After a bit of reading I opted to install the mRo M8N GPS, I took some time over the weekend to install it.

However on switching my solo back on it started making a strange musical tone, i assumed it was because the compass needed calibration, however even after running the calibration the solo was still emitting the same tone.

Substituting back in the original GPS board and solo would boot up fine.

Has anyone had a similar experience when replacing the GPS? my reading suggests that the tone indicates missing GPS or loose wire in the GPS loom. Is it possible that the mRo unit was DOA?

Thanks,

The loud annoying tone means the GPS isn't connected. So either you didn't have the mRo plugged in all the way, or it is defective.
