Long range with full functions requires better antennas

I use the FPVLR, amplifiers, WiFi card upgrade, I also have Alphas that are cool with short distance in WiFi congested areas when flying solo and its ok but real long range with carrying a ground station would be convenient.

I don't see much use of long range with out vtx, I mean running missions would be safer but not much with no LOS or FPV. Still pretty awesome though.

I use the fpvlr antenna, no amp.
Max distance so far is 400ft elevation, 7200 ft away. That's probably as far as you can fly out legally. In the USA the aircraft must be in your line of sight.
When I fly fpvlr I bring a spotter.
BTW the spotter can not use binoculars, must be unaided view.
