What is the best way to get the legs of Solo out of the video? Have the Hero4 on 4k wide angle.

Fly really slowly or set your camera to 2.7k medium. I've seen people state that the legs aren't visible in 4k, but I haven't tried it personally. 2.7k footage is consuming my drive space fast enough.

If you really want/need 4k resolution, look into an aftermarket lens for the GoPro that's not quite so wide.

just updated to a 4.4 mm lens and no legs even in wide
you can do it without a modded lens but as mentioned very slow movements
