GoPro Replacement thru Warranty?

anyone recently get a new solo and gopro replaced?

support is willing to do me a new solo but they said no go on replacing the gopro...not exactly the flyaway guarantee they made when I pre-ordered the Solo.

just wondering if anyone else here experienced the same recently.
 
My solo and H4Black went in the drink several months back - concluded system was at fault. They replaced the bird and the camera. This was late August, early Sept.

Providing legit proof of purchase was necessary for the GoPro.

was the camera refurbed? or did they give you credits to buy a new one off their site (which doesn't sell any gear any more afaik)
 
The cam they sent over appeared to be a brand spankin new in box H4B.

Not sure what run-around they're giving you over there. Be the squeaky wheel, hope you get sorted.

I just recently got word back after mine was on a cable cam and decided to take a dive in the river without responding to controls, they are NOT going to replace my camera... anyone have where it states in the warranty? I'm seeing it all throughout google searches but I need it in the warranty. I would figure I was grandfathered into the guarantee seeings how I purchased on the initial idea of replacement months ago.
