I bought a factory certified refurb on eBay a while back and it's basically a new Hero without the retail packaging. It looks and performs like new. I've been extremely happy with it so far. Works as advertised on my Solo. I didn't get it for $225, 
but not a bad price either. Most factory refurb items you can count on. And most come with some manufacturer's warranty.

I've had great luck with EBAY on used H4B (5), last one I bought was $140, added the 3.97mm lens and I've been using it daily. EBAY backs purchases very well if they ad is misleading.
