On my GoPro hero 4 silver I cannot change the series throw the 3DR Solo app. Can I have some help?

Firmware on GP 3.0.0 or higher loaded? Do you have a gimbal?

No gimbal and version 5.0 on the GoPro

Then Solo cares less about what camera you have, as it can not control any function of the camera...without the gimbal.
