GoPro Camera Setting

In reading the manual and other posts here (like keeping the landing struts out of frame) - you are advised to set the GoPro to medium... which reduces the resolution, no?
So you are really NOT going to get a full frame, strut free, 4K shot on a Hero Black are you?

That's very disappointing.
 
Yes, those legs stick out a bit. I fly the GoPro with a wide frame width on my Phantom. The advantage of the medium setting is the reduced fisheye. I am by no means an expert here as I am also learning more and more about the GoPro settings. For most video, 720 is good enough, especially for YouTube. This is an older article but a good reference for the GoPro.

Maybe this changes with the Gimbal with forward camera location.
 
Yes. I absolutely hope the camera is far enough forward on the gimbal to get full 4K video without having to crop out the legs.
