Flying without the Solo App

Has anyone gone out and flown without camera, tablet or phone, and not using the Solo App? Want to use it it for training and just learning the basics of flight. Should be just fine is my guess. TIA

You do not need the Solo app to fly Solo. The app does provide more flight info than the controller alone.

I have. It works fine minus the obvious lack of telemetry/feedback, and the ability to change flight mode button assignments, but if you do everything beforehand it works a treat.
