Hey guys,
Posted this over in Solo Mod Club on Facebook. A couple weeks ago, I ordered a HERE and put my mRo in the drawer. Knowing my mRo is probably not worth all the much in the classifieds, I decided I should try to throw it in my Solo and get a little dual GPS blending action!
THIS REQUIRES GREEN CUBE
Happy to report, everything went smoothly! Took it out for a flight, and did everything well. RTH was within 6" of all take of spots I took off from. Hover is good, and even tried to throw it off by setting max loiter speed to 2000. I have both set up to for GPS, SBAS, Glonass and Galileo and out in my test field I get up to 27-28 satellites each. (screenshot was taken inside)
I soldered Tx and Rx points onto the Serial2 ports and then a 5v power and ground wire. Once I did that, just set new MP parameters to set up dual GPS.
If you have both GPS modules (both M8N) and you can solder, I would add this in.
