Dronekit, I am an idiot

Ok so one, might we request a section for coding dronekit / python ?
Having gotten that out of the way I feel like a total idiot
Not new to coding, I can write basic Java and Visual Basic code, and have been taking java and python classes online.

I did search you tube but cant seem to get past getting dronekit installed on my machine
I do have Python 2.7.11 installed
but when I put in pip install dronekit at a command prompt or in the python window I just get errors

Can someone point me to a good tutorial or step by step on how to get this environment set up?

i got the SITL and Dronekit to install
Has the path variable set up wrong in windows

Not going for an actual script
Really need to find a good python IDE

SITL failed, need some sort of microsoft c++ library

i just use notepad++ but pycharm looks like a decent ide

I use PHPStorm professionally, which is by far the best PHP IDE out there and is also made by the same people who make PyCharm (JetBrains)

well I have SITL solo, Dronekit and solo CLI all working so not bad for today.
the only issue that I am having is trying to connect mission planner to the SITL it shows the vehicle on the other side of the world from the ground station and solo will not arm
