I think Motor #3 gave out. Solo went into a crazy spin, lost altitude, then tumbled and hit the ground. Motor #3 no longer works, but the wires are intact. I have a replacement motor, and it connects and lights up fine.

I am not sure which flight log is the correct one, so I am posting the last two. Incident happened around 2-2:30 today.

Luckily, I had the fixed mount on, and the body is intact.

Those log files appear to be from your 12/14/17 incident, not today's.

Recent-7.bin looks to be the correct log. It's a one-way flight that ended with an EKF failsafe which results in an automated (rough) landing. Hopefully someone can determine why it happened.

I looks like motor #1 to me. Anytime I see a motor max out like that when things go bad it is usually the culprit. 3 and 4 are working hard for stability but 2 slows way down because 1 is not helping but being asked to run full speed. My 2 cents.

That's interesting. I think the video backs up what you are seeing. The quad appears to dip toward the front right when it starts the violent spin, which is where #1 is located. What is odd is that #1 survived the crash, and it appears to be working ok after I put everything back together during a Solex motor test.

Here is the video.

I am wondering if there some strange interference going on at this location. This spot is very very close to the spot where the quad fell and crashed back in late October

Look at the RC OUT for motors 1 - 4 on Mission Planner. Motor one was not carrying its weight in my opinion. I am not a master log reader. I just look for stuff that is out of the ordinary and try to make sense of it.

Thank you David. That was a big help.

Agree with David, motor #1 (3rd column) is trying to stay relevant. 1825 is balls to the wall.

I don't know how to do this graphic representation.
In Mission Planner, went to DataFlash Logs tab, Create KML + gpx button, opened dataflash log and after a bit the KML file should be located in the same dir as the dataflash log.
In Google Earth Pro, File | Open and under Temporary Places | kml file | Log | Planes I put a checkmark near the planes I wanted visible.
Kinda cool.

Have you found a fault in the Solo or motors? Was that the same gated compound that you flew towards, Looks to me like you were shot down with a 2.4GHz scrambler... Twice. Prolly not but it looks a bit fishy to me.

I was thinking something similar. Two fall incidents in the same field??
All the motors appear to work fine now (except for the two that I had to replace due to damaged housings).
I am staying away from that field from now on!
