I have a 3DR Black Pearl monitor I am using. I used an hdmi ribbon cable from my gimbal mod and it works great. The metal parts that slide in on these connectors are longer than most. I got one with female on one end and I leave it hanging on the controller and plug into it when I use the monitor. I have never seen it act flaky. Here is a link to the one I bought.
