Have 7 satellites then switch to sensor calibrating will not start?

When calibrating sensors, in particular the Compass calibration, I found it nessisary to completely power cycle my iPad. It wasn't enough to exit the app and relaunch it. Had to power down iPad, power it back on, then relaunch app. You also need to do this with the controller and the solo itself, but that is easier / more obvious.
