I'm headed up to Alaska next week to do some bush flying and filming. I keep reading about how everyone is upgrading their GPS chips, but I have yet to find anything to complain about mine while flying it in Oregon.
Anyone flying in Alaska have anything to report about the quality of their GPS fix/lock and number of satellites? In some areas of the north, GPS signal can be weaker, but I don't think we'll be any further north than 62.3 deg.
Thanks.
