I'm looking for a Solo instructor who might have some time in the next few weeks (before Jun 26th).
Anyone out there in Miami area that might be able to provide some instruction for a newbie about to take a Solo off the grid....where opportunities for pilot error abound!!

I must be missing something: I'm on WiFi and zooming Google maps into the spot on the river where I think we will camp on the first night. I then tap the "+" in the green circle and Solex prompts me for a partial address. Whatever I enter, it zooms out and far far away from that...
I'd like to use the Solex Flying Locations function to pre-plan a route that is in the wilderness and therefore has no streets and therefore no "partial address" as requested in the popup dialog box.
I can pull Lat/Lon coordinates off topos or other maps.....but it would also be handy to be...

What are the key features, besides folding up, that you think make it a better choice?
Just as background, unlike backpacking, canoe trips are not so sensitive to weight & volume.

I'm new to drones but a longtime wilderness paddler.
Next adventure has me up in northern Canada and off the grid for 9 days...with my new Solo with gimbal and a GP4B. Seaplane drops me into a lake in the middle of nowhere.
I'm interested to learn from other Solo pilots who have done this or...
