Manual Mode A/B button assignment

Someone mentioned its in a FAQ on this site... but I cant find it.
can someone give me a link or a quick rundown on how to assign the A or B button to manual mode?

which bring up another question...

so, I'm flying along in non-advanced mode, doing a cable cam or something... and it alllll goes sideways, the Solo starts acting erratically, fighting the controls... does hitting the pre-programmed A button that I've assigned to manual flight controls ALSO kick me over to advanced mode(to enable manual), or do I have to switch to advanced mode first?

just trying to figure this out NOW instead of trying to do so whilst my Solo is headed for a tree and I have just seconds to jab at buttons on the controller.

You have to enable the advanced mode, which then allows additional modes like Manual to be assigned from that other screen. So just enabled advanced, and then go map how you want. The Fly button will always trigger the normal Fly mode so you don't need to remap that one.
