To be honest I never had any issues with my stock GPS unit either, All I added was a small piece of cardboard as spacer for it and I do get good results, even inside my home I get 10-13 sat lock in about 30 to 50 seconds most of the time. Never the less I am interested in a long term mod and shielding with less weight. So far you guys have given me some really good idea of what i'm looking for. Thx everybody for your inputs.

I too have not had any GPS issues other than it taking time to get a lock. I went ahead and ordered a setup from Eagle Wong including his carbon cover. Ill give it a try and see how it goes.
