Reeled in by the BestBuy deal I bought the $299 package with the gimbal and the extra battery. The build quality of this device impressed me (the excuse I'm telling myself) so when the batteries and gimbal went on sale I bought a spare gimbal and two more batteries (unfortunately one was DOA so net +1).
I then thought I really ought to have some carry protection so I bought a backpack: you know the one that comes with a free solo, gimbal, and battery (someone help me).
I've now flown each a few times: one carrying a H3+ Black and one with a H4B + PeauProductions lens (both taken from my Phantom 2 collection). I've been doing a lot of reading on these forums for some time now (having started when I got the X8+) and am grateful for all of the information made available by the many contributors here. And I've bought the Solex app (although I've got to do some ask'n about that on the appropriate forum 'cause for me it seems to be highly unresponsive most of the time).
