Thanks erikgraham for the 4K tips. I posted in the main Solo forum an example of 4K video using your suggestions. Those settings along with GoPro studio fisheye removal and Adobe Premiere Pro work nicely for me.

i have to thank erikgraham for his spot on GoPro settings suggestions. I used his settings for 4K with my GoPro Hero 4 Black with great results.

If you mean HeadPlay googles you need micro HDMI to mini HDMI.

Be sure you are not zoomed in too tight....the sat map will not show (assuming you are connected to the Internet). Zoom out. The map will show if you are connected to Internet or if it is cached.

Ok. But as long as you place the batteries LED up, you can press the button once to get LED status (charge level).

Used HeadPlay with Solo today. Make note you will need mini HDMI (HeadPlay) to micro HDMI (Solo) cable or combination of adapters to make the connection. The video is very clear and clean at 720p (which is max res of HeadPlay and Solo video stream). I couldn't quite focus the screen without...

Had the chance to use one this last weekend but did not have a mini-HDMI cable. You will need a type c (mini) HDMI connector for HeadPlay and of course a micro HDMI for the Solo controller.

And just to be clear, if no GPS and no signal to controller, land at current location?

You'd be better off using Tower to lay out your course. It can follow a path you designate even if signal is lost. Still, very risky around buildings, streets, people.
