where do the terrain maps come from

the terrain map that I see on my tablet. is this from the built in GPS system?

In the solo app? That's just Google maps. It is not on the solo. Just Google maps being displayed in the app.

thanks makes sense now. The coordinates from GPS are x y grid points and maps are planar images which are different data types must come from different sources so solo combined the two via your tablet
