Hi Don. I found the HDMI connection on the back of the Solo controller to be very unreliable when trying to connect an additional monitor. I ended up connecting it to my Nexus via a SlimPort. Some people have reported no problems.
Have you had any problems connecting to the Solo HDMI?
I’ve had good success with the Vufine and my Solo. I think there was once or twice that may have made me stop and think about it. But all in all it was not an issue. Some of it boiled down to the resolution.
Does the Vufine receive just the video or video + telemetry?
I believe it was video only. I haven’t used it since January.
Is it bright enough to see in sunlight or does it get washed out like a monitor screen?
It is bright enough but using a hat does help. It depends on your requirements. For me it worked.
Why are you selling?
I’m pretty much fading away from the Solo. I’ve already sold off some other Solo accys. I bought a Mavic Air a few months ago and while it is fun, I’m getting bored with it too. Winter is coming and that’s when we head to the desert and fly our toys. I have a lot of RCC airplanes and quite a few multicopters.
I’m finding that I enjoy FLYING airplanes more than hovering multicopters.
I was looking at this awhile back but not many of the members here really liked it.
I read some of that too before I bought mine. But, being deep into it at the time, I had to buy every toy (accy) to make it that much better. Almost bought a set of your lights. But then decided that I don’t want people easily seeing my Solo from a mile away.
Thanks for your time.
