USB port on Solo to download Gopro

Has anyone installed a mini USB port on the Solo chassis to allow GoPro image downing. I do not like to continuelly unplug and remove the GoPro for downloading. At some point, one of the plugs are going to fail. When I was flying Pixhawks, 3DR made a small USB port you could add to your drone or device so you could access the Pixhawk from the outside of your device. Has anyone done this with Solo.

Not sure I understand the question. If you want the video off the GoPro, what will having a USB port on Solo provide? The USB port available on many DIY gimbals is to view live analog video, not to download HD video.
If you want to connect to the GoPro via USB while it is mounted on the Solo, just unplug the HDMI and plug in your USB.
If you want to connect with the Pixhawk, you can do that over WiFi using WinSCP or something similar.
