Buy solo is to record the beauty of his hometown
Of course, will pay attention to safety
Thank you
This mountain road
Is Taiwan's heavy machine route
Beautiful
Yes my friend it is very beautiful road and countryside. I know nothing about Taiwan's vehicle or drone regulations. But, I still say its absurdly dangerous and the relative speed of drone is irrelevant. Please let let me try and explain my thinking.
You are driving over busy highway with drone heading straight over and into traffic. Just ask yourself what happens if drone malfunctions and falls straight down onto a vehicle or through a windshield?
Distracted driving is dangerous. Did you not feel distracted riding motorcycle close to the shoulder while looking at the drone controller to check the video picture and so forth? Its not like you are on secluded roadway or trail. You are on major highway and one little bobble could be big trouble.
BTW Did you know that if you lose GPS connection the drone will automatically switch to FLY MANUAL? I am somewhat of a novice myself but I think it would be very difficult even for experienced pilot to fly drone in Manual with one hand while steering motorcycle down highway with the other especially when you are given no advance warning.
You said that drone did not return
to take off point. But, it looked like drone was following you as you drove down highway. Its a nice shot BUT what happens if you lose wireless connection?
The drone starts flying back to take off point. Do you turn around and race back to watch or supervise its landing? Or do you ride back slowly keeping one eye on the road and the other on controller to see if you regain signal and can abort landing?
Your takeoff point was a narrow road shoulder. If Return Home works perfectly, it still has six foot margin of error that could put your drone in middle of highway. Imagine your solo slowly descending onto middle of road while another guy on motorcycle comes around curve and drives right into it face first at 60 mph.
Please understand that I am no safety expert and have no agenda other than enjoying this hobby with fellow enthusiasts. Good luck, I wish everyone well in their respective travels and adventures.
