Yea these are all very true and I noticed first time acquisition is longer just the way I took it his 30 minutes wasn't just initial flight.

I've had 0 app crashes on 5s or s6 and have been really happy with my solo and what little communication I've had with 3dr so far. I did have some left veering issues and gps things that have either worked their self out or were seemingly perfected in the update. These were expected and i have been pleasantly surprised how few I've had and how fast they're fixed with 3dr. I'm not a die hard customer of any one company in aerial as I just started last year and without experience with each platform think it would be a mistake to go fan boy.

I mean I just realized how behind I've been using an Iphone and iPad for a few years when I bought the Galaxy s6 and its light years ahead of my apple devices, even though Apple do have their own advantages. Competition to the big guys always great for us consumers and improves any product as well as keeps their pricing honest. How much would the p3 have been without the solo coming, I'd bet closer to two grand than one at least with lightbridge included, so we all win really even those not buying solo. 3dr has really impressed me even in dealing with this far from easy or perfect launch and at least now they have likely won a customer for as long as they keep up the great work.

Coming from a p2 beside all the obvious advantages of solo performance wise a big selling point for me was being able to fly and not worry if today's the day she flys south for ever. I doubt I'll ever have to use this fly away guarantee and so far my p2 hasn't decided to find a new owner far away either, but just being able to have peace of mind that my entire setup even the gopro will be replaced is amazing and will make flying more enjoyable for me for sure. I know you should technically be able to afford this in this hobby and I'm not hurting money wise but I'm a long way from rich and likely would have a tough time replacing a setup in this price range if it weren't for the 3dr customer support.

Anyway happy camper here great work 3dr I'm impressed coming from having very little if any support to having the best support I've had with a product is great. Thanks for the info and help sorry for long postings and safe flying.

I always laugh when I see people come around. Welcome to modern technology.

Seriously wth my iPhone feels like a 90s flip phone compared to this thing I think I'm in love.

Now I'm needing a new laptop or maybe just a Surface pro or something for 4k video editing since mine doesn't do well with high res so if I can get a 4k editing capable convertible type tablet or even a nice laptop if I have too, my iPad will likely become a kids toy soon too. Makes me wonder why Apple is so far behind and how the cats not out of the bag yet. I'm so thankful the tower apps only Android since that's mainly why I decided to go android, last android I owned was a lg Phoenix a long time ago, they came a long way with Android, while IOS barley changed a thing.

Don't do it. I have the Surface Pro with i7 and large hard drive. I love it for what I do with it. However, it is not a 4k video editing machine.

You want a real notebook if you are going to do that.

I was just going to say the same thing! I have a Surface Pro too, and yes, a GREAT tablet/laptop but not a video editing machine, especially for 4K vids. I can't even store more than 15 minutes worth of 4K video on mine!

I have had no problems. It usually takes 2-3 minutes for GPS. One day I got nearly instant lock. Had to stop flying due to rain. After rain in locked again within one minute. Second battery took about 2 minutes. Been on vacation for the past 8 days, so have not updated.

Yea I won't then thanks for the heads up honestly I didn't want to post asking in this thread but I knew if it wasn't a good idea I'd find out mentioning it. Wonder if the 4 pro will be any better? I just never use my laptop otherwise so it'd be nice to buy something useable like a tablet. I'll start a thread before I hijack the poll here. Lol

I am not short on storage on mine. Just doesn't have enough lead in its butt to do the job. I have mine setup with web apps and with one drive it's perfect for what I need. Can pull it out and show a customer something as all the data I need from my other machine is there.

4K is tough on anything let alone an overgrown tablet.

Yea guess I'm kinda dreaming and in all honesty don't need it now but I'm sure it will be standard eventually so trying to future proof for as long as I can.

Been flying and taking footage for a bit and been into surface type Rc a while but still pretty new especially with editing so still learning.

Thanks
