I'm a BP nut also and have a R&S I took to the range last weekend. They shoot really nice and I'd suggest using Hornady 0.454 round ball with 22 - 25 gr 3F Swiss BP.
That's me selling the Paterson.

Yea I make my own powder and cast all my own projectiles...I am a big fan of Swiss..mine runs right with it for speed..pretty proud of that.
