Hi

I following 3DR Solo (Developer Information) — Dev documentation and build a new firmware ArduCopter-v2.px4 and copy it to /firmware. After reboot, all LED stay in solid green (which means startup unsuccessful according to 3DR manual). Solo will not connect to controller. I try factory reset and it do not work. Is there anything I can do before I send it back to 3DR? Thank you very much

Did you try the original WiFi password?
I would suggest building an older version of the firmware and trying that, if you can.
If you do send it back, please post what happens here. I will be trying this myself soon and I'm curious what happens after one bricks it.

you are aware solo does not work on PX4, is a pixhawk 2 not PX4
It has its own version of the code base.
They have been trying to merge it, but I do not think it is even close yet.

Dont suppose you made backups?

Did you do a downgrade to both Solo and the Controller? Walk me through your factory reset process to see if you missed something.

Just curious- how were you able to successfully build Arducopter-solo? All my attempts failed to compile the master.
Other than that, I also suggest to try the original password.

installing custom firmware is the same as performing a factory reset so the solo and controller has to be paired again. pair the solo to the controller and you should be good to go.

Yes a common mistake is that people might forget to pair after a factory reset. That's why I wanted to know what steps he went though to see if he missed one.
