I just bring mine down to the ground and hold the left stick down until the motors stop, but that is in fly mode

Set A or B to manual. While in Manual, bring over landing spot and reduce throttle until on the ground. Hold throttle bottom left to kill motors.

I will add, in my experience it is best not to bring it down to fast. Best to bring it to about 6 ft and let it adjust. Then to about a foot. Then down, and hold the left stick down until motors stop. If you bring Bitcoin to fast, it will tend to bounce, try to adjust, and "walk".
