NO, there has been no update. If I was you, I would keep 10.1.1 on your iPhone or iPad. If you uninstall and reinstall the APP, You will loose all you SAVED smart shots. Last time I wrote to 3DR they told me that they will not update the APP? Well - I am keeping one of my iPhones on 10.3.3

Has there been an update to this? I still have 10.1.1 on my iPad mini 2 since I know it works well with the Solo.

Is it worth updating now?

I have SidePilot, but I want to use my SAVED SMART SHOTS, that is why I keep one of my iPhones on iOS 10.3.3

Remember-- the black screen when recording can often be fixed when adjusting the GoPro down from 4K to 1080 using the Solo ap.
