Gimbal HDMI cable routing?

This is a question for gimbal owners (I do not have one and I am curious). How is the HDMI cable routed through the gimbal? I have a thin ribbon HDMI cable for a SToRM32 gimbal but the Panorama smart shot does not work for me as it just wraps the cable around the gimbal and locks the whole mess up. How did 3DR do that on the Solo? Do they have the ribbon cable curled up to go through the wiring openings? Do they have some kind of HDMI slip ring? Or just a special kind of cable?

If someone can shed some light on this that would be great. Thanks

The Solo gimbal has a limited Z rotation of about 100 degrees and this freedom of movement is only purposed to soften camera movements when the bird is Yawed. The bird itself performs the camera's Z axis rotation for the various smart shots.
