Gimbal: Black box or white box

I've noticed that some gimbals come in prominently white boxes, while others are in mostly black boxes. Does this packaging indicate any differences in the gimbals?

I have both and I see no difference from one to the other...performance or otherwise.

The only glaring difference is the color of the data connector, black on the original and white on the white boxed unit.

Thank you for that. I guess what I'm alluding to is the notion that early gimbals had problems and that they seemed to disappear in later releases. Does the box color indicate newer or older?

My September version came in the black box, I think I got the white box in February. I am flying with the black box version presently if that makes a difference.
