Flight logs

When can i access these? Is there another app that records the flight logs or does the 3DR app record in some file within it? I'm using the iOS version. I only want to be able to see these if I crash because of some unforeseen problem with the gps like a lot of guys have had on this site.

Apparently you can access your flight log from the controller with your android device using the App tower!! But unfortunately I do not own an android device ..so the way I do it is using my PC to retrieve my Logs from the Controller

Del- can you explain how you do that? I used to email the logs to myself, and then open them with Mission Planner but you can't email them since the latest update.
