I think what Terrence is doing with his new solo frame will take care of that as you can transfer the solo oboard computer over,

So if i go with Pixhawk2.1, would i lose smart shots? What program do we use instead of Solo app or Solex?
upgrading to Pixhawk2.1: $300 + Upgrade
This adds the following features to your Solo...
1. Better sensors. "I thought is just had extra redundancy of same type of sensors"?
2. Heated IMU. "Never get cold enough here"
3. Aluminium case. "& its Green" Ok,
4. and most importantly, 5v PWM to help with signalling issues to the ESC's "Never knew that Solo had a real problem with it's ESC's"?

What i'm asking is: What am i getting myself in to?

the 2.1 upgrade is not required if you are OK with the motors and escs that are built in
the real advantage for upgrading is now you can replace the escs and motors for bigger ones
If I had no plans of changing over to another frame and bigger motors I would stay with stock cube and stock body
In fact solo 1 will indeed stay that way
Solo 2 is going to get gutted and moved over

For some reason whenever you copy one of those fb urls and paste them into the forum they come up like that. I've had to go back and edit mine back to English. I think the forum does it for some reason.

I like my Solo with Solex, but....
At some point, when GPS H/W with millimeter accuracy & @ half the market price today, I would go for that. does Solo understand millimeter accuracy?
Also if i can fit a Intel RealSense with Solo, Would be another project I would invest time & money in.
