Continuing video problems.

I like it. Looks like your on to something. Yes please let me know how that works out for you. Ive tried hot glue, but after checking to see how it held I noticed it separated. The glue obviously didnt stick very well.
How bout using silicon adhesive/sealant?

That sounds like an idea. Guess it wouldn't hurt to see how it would work. Have you had any issues w/your HDMI cable & the connections Dog? I was using the original w/no issues until it just started displaying a purple haze on the screen. Not in my brain. Lol. Replaced w/the Relish & was fine for a few flights. The dang connections seems not secure enough & that would be my theory as to why I'm getting video feed problems. IDK.

I have not had any problems and still have the stock cable from August 2015.
Seems like newer units are coming out with too many problems- poor quality control?

I know the silicone will stick better than hot melt glue.

I want to put a stock cable back in. It'd be nice if 3DR would start selling parts like the HDMI cable for the Solo.

Whatever units they are selling today are still left over from the original production run last year. They quit production months ago in the China factory since they weren't selling nearly as well as they anticipated and still have a ton left over. They saw the DJI writing on the wall and changed direction to "enterprise", but still selling those original solos.

I was wondering if that wasn't the case- thanks for the update! I don't know if they will make more if all those sell, but my main concern is parts availability.

Does anybody know anything about that? If spare parts dry up it could be a problem.:(

I've got most of the replaceable items from the store as backups (motor pods, etc). I'm thinking of picking up a cheap 2nd solo/controller on ebay for the rest of the spare parts you can't buy individually. I think as long as 3dr is in business selling solo enterprise, there will be parts available. I'm not panicked. I have a lot invested in Solo and don't plan to change quads any time soon. I'd just like it to last at least another year, at which time I'll check out what's "new" out there. This technology changes so fast. I will never buy a DJI though.

Ive got every available part 3DR store offers for Solo. The spare gimbal, shell, 4 spare pods, & spare controller I have were all purchased elsewhere. If anyone has a stock HDMI cable they're willing to part with I'll buy. I only had one problem with my original & that was the reason I replaced with the ribbon. I've had 2 of the ribbon cables that are giving me issues. Not knocking the cable itself.
