Hi guys.

I just need to say this, since im really excited :D
Today was my first actual flight with the Solo, that I got 2 weeks ago. (bought it on the last day of 2019, and was finally brought to me now.)
Upgraded it to open solo, easiest upgrade ever!

Started with 94% batt (Silly me).... Flew for about 17minutes, with some speedy runs, nothing serious.
Landed at one light :)
Im was using no gimbal, just a skeleton frame and SJ4000 camera.
Tested video on the bench, worked no problem.
Weirdly enough there was no video feed on the field. Doesnt matter really, im waiting for a GoPro4 refurb anyway. Already got the gimbal.
A couple of days ago, I ordered 2 ALFA antennas, just to be sure.
I mostly plan on flying in open spaces really, scenery and stuff, waterfalls... So range probably wont be an issue.
I have a new flat hdmi cable on the way also.

I have to say that having flown pretty much every ardupilot since APM2, this was the first one that I could "trust" right out of the box. Hope this makes sense hehe.

Im still super excited lol :D

I attached a couple of printscreens.

Did I say Im super excited? :D

Happy Flying!

Congrats on a good first flight! Good pics too! My first flight with my Solo wasn't so good. It crashed onto my deck and cracked the frame.

Great, for your first flight Great pics also. On my first flight. Broke one of my propellers.
Question for you, or any one? I have not flown it for
several years. I have a S7 Edge phone now. I cannot
connect my phone to my go pro black 3+. Can you help me.

Thanks

oh, this was actually my first SOLO flight, I've been flying ardu{copter, plane} since forever :)
I have had my share of problems with gopro too... first thing, do a camera reset, and update it.

Had a picnic the other day, took Solo with me.
Tried RibCaged gopro with original lens (waiting for others).
here are some stills from 1080 clips.
Focus is a bit off, I'm still waiting for that deep socket mount for M12 lens, so I hot glued it a bit. It's ok for a proof of concept :D
