So... Downloading dataflash logs on the Solo is a loooonnngggg process. Is there a way to connect directly to the PH2 without powering up the Solo and the controller and connecting via WiFi? I noticed that USB was broken out on the accessory plug, but that is USB to the on board computer. Anyway to get USB from the PH2 out to the accessory plug?

I haven't looked that deeply into my Solo (I do own a Pixhawk1). But according to this web page:
Under The Hood – 3DR SOLO – Part 3
There is a USB port on the Pixhawk2, but I don't clearly see it in their photos

If you do open your Solo this deeply, take some nice pictures and let us know what you find. ;)

There are full disassemble videos/pictures around already. And there is a USB port on the PH2. I saw pictures from a user that attached a small USB extender cable and mounted a port on the bottom of the Solo. Would be a great way for .bin file transfers.
