After drying out the parts and rebuilding solo, The compass will not calibrate. I don't know where the compass is located. I checked the compass wire in the leg and it seems fine. I hope the main board is not fried. Does anybody know where the compass circuitry is located?

Compass itself is in the leg.

Remove the covering and check that it's dry. Or maybe you need a new part?

I swapped that out with my buddies wire and that did not fix the problem. I believe the issue is on one of the boards it's just that I don't know which one.

Follow the wire from the sensor in the leg? Where it connects is the board...

It seems that the traces stop about 4" from the connector to a dead end.

Thanks everyone for your help. I discovered that the gps harness pins 1 and 6 were not pushed into the connector fully. Problem solved.

So did your solo get submerged completely and after drying and finding this issue, it's good again. Don't remember your exact story off hand but if that's the case, great news and both impact and water issues don't seem to take this thing out. Pretty impressive
