Hi
I am brand new to the 3dr pilots so i say hi to everyone.
I just recieved my Solo and wondering if it is recommended to calibrate the compass before every new location.
I have DJI products and that calibration was a standard and i am curious if its recommended with the Solo.
Thanks all....

Welcome to the forum, a lot of very smart and helpful folks with years of experience here. It's recommended if you travel over 60 miles, I do calibrations every month or so just because it seems to help with sat lock and stability but it's not needed really.

Hi, InspiredOne. Welcome. Adimuzio513, is right about the help available to us on this forum. People here are great. Just wanted to add, that whenever I fly, I take my Solo up about 10 ft. and watch to make sure is is stable and not drifting. If it drifts in any direction more than 1-2 ft. consistently, I land and calibrate the compass. It has always taken care of the drift, and usually I don't have to do it again for quite awhile. Hope this helps you, and happy and safe flying to you.
