Battery Sytorage

I have 5 batteries and like keeping them fully charged and rotation their use. The manual says to store batteries at 50%. I assume that a few days does not constitute "storage," and that a few months would. What is the time limit without use where I should deplete the batteries to 50% before I use them again. 1 month? 6 Months?

I think a month would be a reasonable time- there's nothing carved in stone about it.
