Altitude reporting ?

I promise I tried searching first.....

I want to fly in class C airspace, and my understanding is that I need a radio to monitor tower traffic AND an altitude reporting transponder. I have my 107 and know I need ATC clearance also. But vis a vis the altitude reporting transponder.....any thoughts? Thanks!

Apply for your Airspace Waiver/Authorization first. The response will dictate what you need to have. Most FSDOs have eliminated the need for an altitude reporting radio, but not all.

Get the FAA to tell you what you need.
