3dr should come up this idea a new develop lithium-air battery 5x more capacity than the current what we are using today BUT is there a deffrences between li-po and li-ion?

I think a battery with that much extra capacity would be a lot larger and heavier. With that being said, the flight time would be affected by the extra weight. It may not be worth it, unless they can make a battery the same size as the current one with extra capacity. I don't know if that is doable.

I thought nuclear fusion was solved- just very expensive to deal with.
I.E.- nuclear power plant, or hydrogen bomb.

@Maddog That's nuclear fission Fusion is like what the sun does...instead of splitting atoms it fuses them together to create light/energy. They are JUST starting to tap into and perfect Fusion. It ain't easy.

The original "atom bomb" worked on the principle of nuclear fission- splitting atoms.
The "hydrogen bomb" works by nuclear fusion- the opposite of fission.

I can't wait for new battery technology. Whenever I pick up one of my quads without the battery on board, I think how little of the vehicle weight is made up by the actual vehicle.
