    Drone Laws in California

It really is frustrating there isn't a full state beach drone law, hopefully these laws get solidified soon enough. I didn't think I had a shot at the hollywood sign but it was worth a shot. Not sure if it's worth bringing if there are so many restrictions on where/when to fly it.

    Drone Laws in California

Being hassled doesn't sound like much fun, since I'll mainly be in San Francisco/LA it might not be worth it to bring. Thanks for the links though, will definitely check them out.

    Drone Laws in California

Agreed, I'll take a look at those links. I probably will end up not bringing it because I'm not sure if it's worth it to only fly it not very often. Appreciate the well thought out response, I'm very excited to visit California!

    Drone Laws in California

Great, thanks for all the information. Seems like it might not be worth it to lug the thing around. I have my DSLR so should be able to get good pictures/video regardless. Thanks for the wealth of information.

    Drone Laws in California

Hi everyone, I'm going on a trip to california soon and hope to bring my solo with me. I was wondering if anyone has any information regarding specific laws within california. Some resaerching led me to believe it was all very similar to federal laws. I hope to fly around some beaches in san...

Anyone have experience with non-3dr propellor replacements?

That's what I was thinking...The FAQ says to balance the props but is there a real reason for this? Are they actually unbalanced when coming out of the factory?

Anyone have experience with non-3dr propellor replacements?

Gotcha, do you know anything about interchanging maybe one or two of the props with the APC props and the rest with the stock props? Would that be an issue?

Anyone have experience with non-3dr propellor replacements?

They look great! Do you know if you have to weigh them and stabilize them? I never did that with my stock props...

Anyone have experience with non-3dr propellor replacements?

Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone had any experience purchasing and using propellers not made by 3dr. I found a company called APC Propellers that sells 3dr props and was wondering if you guys had ever heard of them. I was hoping for an alternative to the 15 dollar replacements 3dr offers...

    Rain

Have you ever been out in the rain with your phone out? A little drop of rain on your phone will amount to no damage, especially if you have a case. I've flown the drone three times in less than optimal rain conditions. Like I said previously, I'm not condoning flying in the rain, just saying...

    Rain

From my experience a "little rain" won't hurt it. I'm not sure what your idea of a little rain is, but a light drizzle didn't do anything to my solo, even after the rain started to really pick up. The GoPro is underneath the main chasis of the solo as well, so it's not getting directly hit...

    Rain

I agree. Guess it's whether or not you want to risk it. All I'm saying is a little rain probably won't hurt it. I wouldn't advise going out in a storm but if it happens to start drizzling it should be fine.

    Rain

Believe it or not I've had pretty good success flying it in moderately rainy conditions. Unless it's pouring I don't see why not. Just have to make sure it doesn't get on the lens of the camera.

That's what I thought. Thanks very much!

    Contacting Helipads from Hospitals?

Awesome thanks so much guys. Appreciate the hospitality. I was wondering, are we allowed to fly in county parks? A park ranger kicked me out at home but after looking up laws it doesn't seem they're allowed to. I obliged obviously but still was wondering
