Yes, my solo altitude at landing was at ground level. Which happened to be very close to my take off altitude.

New Solo! Bad day.... attery errors?

Seems like you over discharged a cell, so now the capacity is diminished. You would need to test the capacity to check for bad cells. be careful, as you know, after a deep discharge LiPo batteries can be unstable when charging. At least batteries are on sale this week.

    Australia is great, except for....

Why are electronics so expensive there? Do they add a lot of tax, vat, etc? I can't imagine it shipping costs as it should cost more to ship to USA for items made in Asia than to Australia. Does Amazon Ship other items to Australia, if yes why not Solo? Unless it's a 3dr choice?

Obviously they have different antennas. I'm not sure of the specs of both, so it's hard to compare. You will probably need to setup the comm parameters also. I didn't look at the connection requirements, so you may need to make your own cable, but I'm not sure.

    Read it and Weep......

Hey, they tried! I give them credit, and I hoped they would have made it and remained in the consumer business. I liked what I saw and even tried to support them pre-solo with their pixhawk and other hardware purchased from them. The only thing that bothers me (being one that was one of the...

A new take on UAS insurance

Thsnks for this info. It looks like an interesting option for those that may not have enough business to justify the costs of an annual policy. I'll have to tell some friends about this. I'd like to find some public stories of use of this service, both good and bad. But I'm sure this will...

    Karma

It was a launch presentation where they will focus on marketing to the widest audience. Not all their customers are drone geeks, so they don't care (yet) about the details and specs. I'm sure more will come as things are released. I'm keeping an eye on this one. I like the size of the company...

    Karma

I watched the launch video. I may go this way also. But this time I may wait and let the early adopters make sure this thing is real first. ;) I know we're not a Karma forum, but did anyone see the specs on the GP5? I can't tell if it still has a fish eye lens or not. All the shots shown in...

    Where2fly v2

Sorry, I don't want to do that. You may have better luck allowing features of your app to be previewed before requiring a login or creating an account. Good luck with your app.

    Where2fly v2

How is yours better than the others out there? There already are a couple of free ones available including the official FAA version here in the USA. Also, it requires my email to login before I can test it. Sorry, without knowing what I'm getting, I don't give out my email to new apps without...

Check your setting in the app. It's in the Solo section, but you first have to enable advanced settings.

    GPS Battery

Yes, this is a case of the gps rtc time not being set until it picks up the first satellite so I can an start the clock running at the right time and date. I hate that rechargeable battery in the gps design. Mine is always dead as I don't fly daily. I hope anyone designing new GPS modules will...
