Hi guys,

I have just finished installing a new shell to my solo, I tried to take it out on its first flight but I can't find anywhere where it doesn't have magnetic interference (including the middle of an oval). I have been looking for a video on how to recalibrate it but I can't find anything.

If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

In the Solo app... connect the controller and Solo, go to Settings -> Solo. Level and Compass cal are at bottom of screen. Follow on-screen directions in a magnetic-free and level area with bird pointing north.

If that doesn't work right away log on to solo with tower and change the parameter SYSID_SW_MREV to 0
My original solo likes to have fits of magnetic interference and that is generally the only way to get it to re-calibrate with a level and compass calibrate. Hopefully yours is less touchy but if you can't get it to calibrate reset that parameter in tower or mission planner and try it again. When mine gets MI it won't re-calibrate without resetting that parameter.

Here are the instructions for it from another post.
For Mission Planner:
- Connect to the SoloLink WiFi network
- Open Mission Planner
- Select UDP on the top right dropdown menu
- Click on Connect
- Go to Config/Tuning
- Full Parameter List
- Look and change SYSID_SW_MREV to 0
- Click on Write Parameters (on the right side)
- Disconnect and reboot Solo

For Tower
- Connect to the SoloLink WiFi network
- Open Tower
- Go to Menu >> Setting >> Telemetry Connection Type >> UDP
- Go back to the main screen >> Click on Connect
- Go to Menu >> Parameters
- Look and change SYSID_SW_MREV to 0
- From option on the top, select Upload (folder with Up arrow)
- Disconnect and reboot Solo
