*TURN OFF* Feathre: GoPro shuts off stops recording when landing.

Is there a setting to STOP this from happening? (turn off this feature)
I'd like the camera to stay on recording when the Solo lands and NOT automatically
stop recording!

It's actually not hard to turn off for good. It isn't user switchable in an app or by button. But you can easily comment out the one line of code on the companion computer that does it.

1. Use WinSCP or something to open the /USR/BIN/ directory on the solo.
   
   
2. Open file shotManger.py.
   
   
3. Scroll down to line 364. Put a # in front of this line so it looks like this:
   # self.goproManager.handleRecordCommand(self.goproManager.captureMode, RECORD_COMMAND_STOP)
   
   
4. Save the file on the Solo.
   
   
5. Delete the shotManger.pyc file.
   
   
6. Reboot.

Your GoPro will no longer stop recording when it disarms.

Consequently, you can also see where a few lines down, you can make it automatically record upon arming too by adding a line of code. I was going to do that but Solex takes care of it easy enough.

Mine does not shut off upon landing(would like it to do so) and I have not changed the code. iPhone and GoPro 3+.
