Is there any built-in support for DroneID either in the Solo itself or in Ardupilot?

Not built in. Ardupilot supports it but you need a Remote ID module. There are stand alone units that work fine and don't need a connection to the drone.

The stand alone modules have their own GPS built-in and just have to be attached, not "connected" and there is an app for it. The ones Ardupilot supports get all the data from the flight controller and GCS.
