A question about Orbit

Quick questions:

real new to orbit...trying to practice corkscrewing.

there seems to be no way to check when/if GoPro is recording in this smart shot. I've auto-record on but always hit record manually out of habit...effectively turning the recording off. What's the best way to check? Does it start recording after you select the point or after you start the left/right button?

When you pull the satellite view..what's the crosshair button for?

Personally I leave the GoPro OSD on. I know some don't like it. Since that overlay/data comes straight from the gopro, the record symbol will always be accurate no matter what the software is showing.

I think GP OSD is on by default but when switching to orbit it disappears. Will have to try again to confirm.
