If it has an accessory bay, smart shots, and I can run code on a companion computer on the bird I'd say it's damned close to a rebirth.

Mmm... it kind of sounds like they lost their deal with DJI. I mean it's the Yuneec drone top to bottom with 3DR software. They had a similar deal with DJI until recently.

The Yuneec tie-up seems to be aimed at Government applications/contractors, to allow them to use a non-DJI product. DJI drones remain supported for commercial use.

I don't think it's a Solo 2 I'm afraid...

Indeed. DJI and all Chinese products are now banned for US DoD / Military applications.
