Had a strange one today...
Trying to capture some epic waves with a massive swell coming into the east coast of Australia.
Offshore winds - 15-20 knots
Had enough gps but Solo was not level enough to take off and had a warning saying it needs to be level.
I repositioned and all good to take off.
Take off was not the usual smooth take off.
Once in the air (about 2-3 metres) Solo held a really bad gps lock, jumping around everywhere.
I quickly attempted to bring it back and as it was not far away and as I was worried about landing it manually, I caught it by the leg.
Attempted to shut motors down via left stick down. It started to shut down then Solo wigged out and the motors engaged again - very strongly.
I could not shut down via a, b and pause button as I was holding solo with my right hand...eventually it shut down and I was able to turn the battery off....phhheeew.
Not sure what the heck happened and I have attempted to send a log ticket in to 3dr 5 times but the app keeps getting right to the end of submitting and then says failed to send ticket. I am going to call 3dr directly as I am not sure how to approach the support from here and would love to get their insight or ideas into what may have happened.
By this stage I was on my second battery and chomping on the bit to get back out there - but all confidence was crushed after the experience and I packed the Solo up...
I will submit some footage soon as soon as I can - I managed to get it, not that there is much to see....but just wondered if anyone had any experience that was similar.
Thanks
